The Syracuse VAMC Audiology Department is excited to announce the availability of a 4th year Audiology Externship position at our facility for the 2027/28 academic year. The start date will be in June 2027, with the externship lasting 12 months. The Syracuse VAMC offers audiological services at 4 sites of care in Central New York (Syracuse, Watertown, Binghamton,& Rome).

Funding is assigned by the Office of Academic Affairs and may not have been determined by the application deadline. OAA funding is announced nationally at the same time which should allow sites to know funding at approximately the same time. Historically, our site:
Had funded 1 position for a total of 1 extern.

Basic audiologic evaluation and hearing aid fitting.
